I recently brought a new friend into the LJ fold, and I was thinking about what interesting friends I have, based solely on profession. In no particular order:
If you're not in the list, I'm probably not sure what you do, or I've forgotten or even YOU don't find your job that interesting. Everybody on my list these days has in common the fact that there's something I love... Also, I've met about 85% of my Friends List in real life. That's kind of cool, given the fact so many of you live out of my state...
- NFP director in South America
- Jewelry designer
- FIVE teachers/professors
- SIX writers (all published)
- Bartender/musician
- Prosecuting attorney
- FOUR design/art directors
- Punk rocker
- OTR trucker
- Actor
- THREE artists
- Librarian
- Database administrator (exciting!!, heh)

on 2008-02-14 06:03 pm (UTC)BTW if anyone has a nifty invention there is $$millions to be made. Shop*TV (www.shoptv.com) takes inventions from napkin to manufacture to market. The last one we developed, The Carry-On Kit", has made $6M in 6mos. You can see it at the check-out at BB&B, Linen n'Things, Walmart, K-Mart, Sears, etc.
Contact me if you have an invention you think is truly unique. It should be in the $9.99-29.99 retail range. Our company pays for EVERYTHING and you are free to invent the next pet rock wannabe.

on 2008-02-16 02:37 am (UTC)when people are finished with chemo, we have a party for them, with balloons and cake and a card signed by everyone who worked with them.
sometimes it ends the other way, and we cry.
