I despise high-wind, blustery days like today: 50 degrees, 25 mph winds. I feel like my skin's being peeled off and my soul exposed every time there's a gust, which is every three seconds. Even indoors, I feel bare. So I went outside and put up my hoodie hood and planted irises and tried to defeat the wind, but it won. And so now I'm inside again, working on my garden plan, finishing "Vegetables," thinking about a nap and wondering why I got up at all.

There are very few things that pie can't make better. It's kind of like bacon in the way. Of course we all know that's there's nothing that bacon can't make better.
